Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD)

September is PAD Awareness month.  PAD, or peripheral arterial disease, is also sometimes called PVD, as in peripheral vascular disease.  PAD is a chronic condition where the arteries in the legs start narrowing over time due to the buildup of plaque.  This plaque buildup can lead to restriction of blood flow or completely blocks it.
